TOC
Tactical Operations Center
The principal command post facility where staff sections process information, update the common operating picture, and coordinate ongoing operations in support of the commander.
The TOC is the nerve center of a tactical operation. It runs on a continuous battle rhythm — tracking unit locations, processing reports, managing radio nets, and executing the commander's decisions. A TOC is never static in mindset: it anticipates, not just reacts.
Standard TOC Functions
- Current Operations: Track real-time battle tracking, SALUTE reports, and sitreps
- Future Operations: Plan upcoming missions and COAs
- Intelligence: Process and disseminate CCIR, PIR updates, and IPOE products
- Fires: Coordinate and de-conflict fire support requests
- Logistics: Monitor class I/III/V status, MEDEVAC requests, and LOGPAC timing

Battle Rhythm
TOCs operate on a defined battle rhythm: shift change briefs, commander's updates, and synchronization meetings ensure continuity across 24-hour operations.
