LOGPAC
Logistics Package
A group of vehicles and personnel organized to provide Class I (food), Class III (fuel), Class V (ammunition), and other supplies to tactical units in the field at pre-planned supply points.
The LOGPAC is the mechanism that keeps tactical units in the fight. It runs on a schedule tied to the operational timeline — when units maneuver, the LOGPAC timing adjusts. A delayed or destroyed LOGPAC directly degrades combat power.
Supply Classes
| Class | Contents |
|---|---|
| I | Food, water, rations |
| II | Clothing, tools, hand equipment |
| III | Bulk fuel (POL) — IIIB for aviation fuel |
| IV | Construction materials, barriers |
| V | Ammunition — by type, lot, quantity |
| VII | Major end items (vehicles, weapons systems) |
| VIII | Medical material |
| IX | Repair parts |
LOGPAC Cycle
- S4 requests supplies based on unit ACE reports and consumption rates
- BSB (Brigade Support Battalion) builds and dispatches the LOGPAC
- Unit designates a Combat Trains or Field Trains location as the supply point
- Platoon/company pushes vehicles to the supply point at the designated time
- Distribution completed; vehicles return to tactical positions
Push vs. Pull
In fast-moving operations, LOGPACs operate on a push system — supplies are sent on schedule without waiting for a request. In set-piece operations, pull logistics are based on unit-submitted requests.
